Who says you need to spend a chunk full of bills to get that epic tourist-y feeling?

Where there is a will, there is a way.

Too clichéd?

There’s nothing that’s not right about that phrase, however.

If you feel the urge to have that oh so fresh “I’m just back from a holiday” feel without spending a pretty penny, we have your back!

Take a peek at the little list we have put together and become a tourist in your own hometown!

  1. SAY GOODBYE TO YOUR BED FOR A NIGHT (OR FEW)

Sounds ridiculous? To be fair, it is, but then what’s the fun in playing sane?

Get a room in that one hotel in your hometown you always wished you could stay in. You need to feel like a tourist in order to be one.

  1. LOVE HISTORY? GO SEE IT

Every city/country has a story behind it. Do your research and visit those places you’ve been ignoring all this while. There’s no charm in Wikipedia-ing it. Go and see it for yourself!

  1. GET A TICKET TO A TOURISTY ATTRACTION

Quite similar to the previous point, there’s really no fun in seeing images of that beautiful vast desert on the west side of your country or that old village near your city.

Book yourself a mini tour and take your camera with you!

  1. GO ON A FIRST DATE WITH YOUR CITY

Can you relate to the fun times you spent getting to know your best friend or partner during those first ever meetings?

Take your city on a first date and find those spellbinding details about the place you so blissfully ignored.

  1. TAKE A STROLL

Put on your backpack and go exploring.

Take a new road while driving home.

Eat at a place you have never tried before.

Such simple sounding things that we can do so easily yet we choose not to. Spend some extra time city searching and mindlessly wandering. You won’t regret it. Who knows, you might just find a new favourite!

Now, what are you waiting for?

GO!

You can thank us later!
