1. TURTLE WATCHING AT RAS AL JINZ TURTLE RESERVE
Drive through the golden desert into Ras Al Jinz. A natural landscape with beautiful shorelines amidst rocky cliffs. Such a breathtaking sight.
Taken by a tour guide through the sandy beach, you are in aw when you sight the turtles.
2. DHOW MAKING AND MUSEUM
Take a trip to history and envision yourself on these unique Omani traditional boats called Dhows.
3. BIMMAH SINKHOLE
You can’t miss this on the way to Sur. Located in Hawiyat Najm Park (literally translating to Meteor Fall Park in Arabic) is a sinkhole created when a meteor fell to Oman. Located an hour and a half from Muscat and on the way to Wadi Tiwi, this a must visit.
4. WADI SHAB
This is a very popular attraction for both, locals and expats and is a great spot for barbecue or staying overnight in one of the resorts.
However, the main attraction lies after the hike of 40 minutes and a good swim, upon which you reach a waterfall in a cave.
5. AL AYJAH WATCHTOWER
Depicting the true tradition of Omani architecture, another good spot to visit is the foot of the watchtowers. Atop a hill, this viewing spot gives a spectacular view of the sea and city.
